Why the name Jasmine?
In many cultures, jasmine (Jasminum spp.) has ancient use including medicinal and spiritual. Traditional medicinal uses include: antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, sedation and anti-inflammatory (including skin). Jasmine flowers are known for the calming aroma and flavor for green tea. In addition, jasmine garlands are used in traditional ceremonies to symbolize happiness and the sacred circular protected bond to the spiritual world. (1, 2)
